Second Project Cooperate with DFID
(June_July,2009)
In Bogalay Township,
SVS performed 4 Clean Education program in 34 villages of Kyun
Thar Yar Village tract cooperated with Unicef. Just now
also SVS perform 4 clean Edutainment program in 128
villages of 7 villages tracts, Bogalay Township
cooperate with Unicef. Performed with 4 mission

(a) Edutainment (Education &
Entertainment)
Our SVS artists performed 4 Cleans dramas & songs,
singing, dancing and made other amusement.
Gave them the
knowledge of
- personal hygiene,
- 4 Clean that are clean hand, clean food, clean water
and clean latrine,
- advised them we have to do that for our health and
environment,
- how to construct the latrine that must be secure for 4
points
(1) be secure from reach of files
(2) be secure for the shy
(3) be secure for the smell &
(4) be secure for the cover lid
- In 2008, at the full moon day of Thadingyut we performed the
entertainment programs in Kyan Thar Yar Village at
night.
(b) Distribution
Distributed the hygiene kits, house hold latrine
pipes and pans and school latrines. Each household got a
set of hygiene kits and latrines pipe and pan. The
school in each village received two complete set of
latrines. Also distributed the extra towels, 4 clean IEC
booklets, Shwedagon pagoda pictures and sticked the 4
Clean IEC posters at all villages.
(c) Monitoring
The use of hygiene kits were in all
34 villages monitored in Kyun Thar Yar village tract. The
behavior also change by edutainment programs. The
association collected the other assessment and the
villagers will be faced with water problem soon.
(d) Others activities During that project, our association place the
ornamental umbrella on Kyun Thar Yar village's pagoda.
And donated the X-rays films and other requirement
medicines to Bogalay Township Hospital. Although
finished this project, we stayed there for water
distribution by own donation till February 2009. Near by villages
took the water by their container such as plastic
bucket, ceramic pot etc. Till we also distributed the
water at Kyun Thar Yar Village.
In Dedaye Township,
Made an agricultural project in Taw Ka Mel village
Tract, Taw Ka Mel Kone Tan, Waregyi Ywar Ma, coordinated
with DFID. The project is paddy plantation (winter
paddy) for livelihood. Distributed the seeds,
fertilizers, hand tools, fuel(Diesel) for generator to pump water
into the field and gave the Tshirts to each farmers.
Also gave 4 Clean IEC messages and performed
entertainment of 4Clean
drama & songs, singing, dancing
and other amusement such as dancing with
U Shwe Yoe &
Daw Moe Songs. We made a donation of Thingan set, plastic
bucket with
ceramic filter to village monastery and providing lunch
to monks and villagers. Donation is our SVS's one of the
performance.
For Youth and Children
Under the guidance of social welfare, Social Vision
Services will conduct trainings about creative art
education such as music, poems, traditional and cultural
dancing, playing musical instruments and knowledge of
acting for youths and children from training schools
under Department of social welfare.
