Our association always make donation to the monks
before we starting the project.
Workshop of SVS
Social Vision Services association made a workshop at ParkRoyal Hotel on 7th October 2008. We also celebrated
the Pre Handwashing Festival. All
the audience
participated and we gave them a gift for their
participation.
ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAM
SVS entertainment
program is include 4 clean edutainment (clean hand,
clean water, clean food and clean latrine). SVS entertainment team sing
a song is making emphasized on 4 clean.
The demonstrations of 4 dramas are the real educative
entertainment as they combined humor and health knowledge.
By doing so the villagers have a chance to know about
health knowledge easily and happily. The entertainment
team are perform the following 4 clean drams and modern
songs at the villages. The villagers are also
participate with this team.
4 CLEAN DRAMAS
CLEAN HAND
"Ma Yu sells variety of salads" drama
and "wash your hand correctly" song for han d clean. It
is a short play, trying to give the message that the people should keep
their hands and food clean. In this play a food
vender selling salads. One of the customers noticed that
food vender who had dirty hands with untidy finger
nails, prepared the salads. Saucers were also not
properly washed, using the same water again and again.
The vender and the customer had an argument only when a
nurse came across and explained that clean hand, clean
food is a necessary for better health. The vender was
convinced.
CLEAN WATER
"Ayarwaddy Thar" drama and "use clean water for our
healthy life" song for water clean. It is a short play
to give the message that drinking clean water is a
necessary. This story is about a villager from Ayarwaddy
who had been suffered by Nargis Cyclone, come Yangon to meet his
relatives. When he reached, he was tired and wanted to
drink unclean water from the bucket sold by a young man.
His niece tried to stop him and later his younger niece's
friend nurse explained the effect unclean water and how to
get clean water. Then he well convinced and accepted the
explanation.
CLEAN FOOD
"Lay Lay Thant" drama and "make food clean" song for
clean food. It is also a short play. The message is that
the people should keep the food clean and should eat
clean food. The story is about a villager who picked up
and ate the over ripe mango dropped to the ground. His
friend told him not to eat over ripe mango and without
washing. And near by another man suffering from Diarrhoea
was sent to clinic. Then health educators explained that
every body should take care not to eat over ripe fruit, not to
eat vegetable without properly washed and to eat well
cooked food and to keep the food clean.
CLEAN LATRINE
"May be wrong when it is wrong" drama and "safe,
safe, safe" song for latrine clean. It is a comedy,
tries to give a message that hygienically built latrine
are essential. The story is that one day some villager
were busy with digging 3' x 8' x 9' trench, 50' away
from the house. Detective U Shan Sarr who is well known
for his misjudgment and U Dain Daung, his partner came
and inspected the villagers that they had made a crime.
The detective asked the villager to dig out and show the
corpse. After arguing for sometime, the villagers
explained the detective that the trench not to bury the
corpse just to construct an ideal hygienic latrine. 
KARAOKE PROGRAM
Popular songs and requested songs were entertained by
SVS video and film artists and vocalists. We also
invited local music enthusiasts to participate. The
entertainment programs had great effect on the local
people as it was the very first live entertainment show
they have enjoyed in their own village after disastrous
Nargis. It was something that up lifted the morale of
those traumatized. It was the great success for the SVS
group, our mission has accomplished. We made them happy
for a while. The local youth sang and even dance during
the show, as the sign of relief from trauma for this
moment.
HANDWASHING FESTIVAL
We celebrated the hand washing festival on 15th
October 2008. We also distributed the pamphlet
to the education centre of all townships in Ayarwaddy
Division. We warmly invite you to participate in this
festival for your healthy life.
